The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village will switch to off-season, summer hours Tuesday, May 2. Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
The museum will be closed starting Tuesday, August 1, and will reopen Tuesday, October 17, on regular full-time hours, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Museum staff and board members plan a busy off-season working on key administrative tasks and many museum improvement projects that often take a back seat during the busy tourist season.
The Sanibel Historical Museum and Village is a nonprofit organization formed with the mission to preserve, share, and celebrate Sanibel’s history. It is located at 950 Dunlop Road, next to BIG ARTS. Adult admission is $10; people under age 18 and members are free. Single memberships are $40, family memberships are $60, and other levels are available.
