The Sanibel Historical Village has recently announced that Breeze Newspapers – The Islander, The Island Reporter, and The Captiva Chronicle – will be a Silver sponsor of its February 18, 2020, Historical Village Gala. The theme of the gala is “It Takes a Village,” and it will be held at the Community House from 6 to 10 p.m.
The gala will include a buffet dinner and dancing. Tickets to the gala are $135 per person and can be purchased by calling (239) 472-4648.
So far, this year’s business sponsors include: The Island Sun, Times of the Islands, Bank of the Islands, Breeze Newspapers (Islander, Island Reporter, Captiva Chronicle), Island Yacht Sales, Congress Jewelers, and Captiva Cruises.

The Sanibel Historical Village is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Full guided tours take place at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at no additional charge, depending on docent availability. The village is located at 950 Dunlop Road (next to BIG ARTS) and there is handicap access to the buildings. Admission is $10 for adults over 18. Members and children are free.
