HISTORICAL VILLAGE EXTENDS QUILT SHOW THROUGH APRIL
Quilts will be displayed throughout every building of the Village.
The Sanibel Historical Village quilt show has been extended through the month of April. Some 40 are displayed throughout every building of the Village.
“The quilts on exhibit demonstrate the wide variety of materials and patterns used by quilt makers over time, including one quilt made from gentlemen’s silk ties and another from velvet pieces with a deep fringe border,” explained Bonnie Frankel, SHMV board member.

$15.00 adults 18 and over; children are free.
Guests can self-tour using written guides and audio recordings available in every building
Full guided tours are available at 10:30 a.m. depending on docent availability. No reservations are required, and there is no additional fee.
The Historical Village is Handicap Accessible.

Sanibel Historical Museum and Village was founded in 1984 with a mission to preserve and share Sanibel history. The story of Sanibel is told from the Calusa and Spanish eras to the early pioneer families who settled on the island in the 1800s. It tells of warriors, adventures, fishermen, farmers and proprietors.
